LAHORE: Spokesperson of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Marriyum Aurangzeb has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, which has claimed more than 2000 lives across the country.
According to the sources, former Federal Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb and her mother has tested positive for the deadly virus.
The PML-N spokesperson along with her mother have socially isolated themselves after the test reports came positive. Aurangzeb had recently met former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi who is already a coronavirus patient.
“I had a fever yesterday morning and later I was tested positive,” she said. “I have no symptoms other than fever, but I have quarantined myself after testing positive for the virus,” she maintained.
Moreover, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has telephoned the PML-N spokesperson and inquired about her well-being. He during a telephonic conversation, also prayed to Allah Almighty to heal Aurangzeb and her mother as soon as possible.
Along with Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former provincial minister Sharjeel Memon, Member of National Assembly (MNA) Jay Parkash Ukrani, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Faisal Sabzwari were also diagnosed with coronavirus, that has affected more than 108,000 people across the country.
