LAHORE: At least 22 doctors, nurses, and paramedic staff have tested positive for coronavirus at a hospital in Punjab.
According to details, 7 doctors, 7 nurses and 8 paramedic staff who had been treating COVID-19 patients have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus at the General Hospital and Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. They all have been shifted to the isolation ward.
The number of health professionals affected by a coronavirus in General Hospital Lahore has risen to 122. So far, 84 doctors, 20 nurses, and 18 paramedical staff tested positive at the General Hospital.
Moreover, Pakistan has topped the list of new coronavirus cases in the world, according to data compiled by the reference website Worldometer.
According to the latest chart posted by the Worldometer, Pakistan is placed on the top of the chart of new cases reported across the world during the past 24 hours.
As per details, Pakistan has reported the highest COVID-19 cases in a single day. More than 4,800 cases of coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 85,264 in Pakistan today, while the death toll stands at 1,770.
