ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has called on Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM’s Office in Islamabad today (Thursday).
According to details, matters pertaining to coronavirus, agriculture package, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and dam projects came under discussion.
On the occasion, PM Imran vowed that a special portion will be allocated to Balochistan province in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
PM Imran and CM Balochistan also held a consultation over ongoing projects of the National Highway Authority (NHA) and early completion of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
He assured CM Jam for the completion of the development projects at earliest besides allocating a special portion in PSDP.
He said that the federal government is focusing on the development budget despite the coronavirus gave negative impacts on the national economy. He added that it is the top priority of the government for special allocations for the Balochistan province.
CM Jam demanded to approve mega projects for the province, adding that he also sought to expedite development work on Khuzdar, Quetta and Chaman roads.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Imran Khan met a delegation of the Insaf Doctors Forum in Islamabad. They discussed the health sector reforms introduced by the government.
The premier regretted that the health sector was ignored in the past due to which the common man is facing difficulties in access to health facilities.
The Prime Minister also paid rich tributes to doctors and healthcare staff in their fight against coronavirus.
