LAHORE: Renowned anchorperson and journalist Gharidah Farooqi has informed that she has tested positive for coronavirus and is now in self-isolation.
Gharidah Farooqi took to Twitter and informed that she had developed coronavirus symptoms two days ago and had gotten her self tested. “It came positive,” she revealed.
She said, “Already in self-quarantine at home. The disease is real & it is no shame to contract it, report it, treat it rightly. Let’s keep others safe. Prayers needed by u all.”

According to the Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), three media persons, including two at ‘Radio Pakistan’ have already died of the novel coronavirus and more than 150 others have contracted the deadly infection. “Photojournalists were at the highest risk from coronavirus,” PFUJ added.
Earlier today, famous Pakistani stars Rubina Ashraf and Sakina Samo have contracted novel COVID-19.
According to the sources, Rubina and Sakina decided to get tested after they experienced symptoms of coronavirus. The reports of their tests came out positive.
Following positive test reports, Rubina Ashraf and Sakina Samo have quarantined themselves at their homes.
Earlier on May 25, renowned morning show host Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz had tested positive for coronavirus and the celebrity couple had been self-isolating at home for the past 13 days.
Nida Yasir took to Instagram and confirmed that she, husband Yasir Nawaz and daughter, have tested positive for coronavirus and are currently in isolation.
