LOS ANGELES: Actress Lisa Kudrow who essayed the role of Phoebe Buffay in the famous US sitcom “Friends” has assured that the special reunion will most surely be worth the wait.
During an interview with a private channel, the friend actress said, “I can not wait for it to happen. The six of us have not been in a room together in front of people in 25 years and only once a few years ago, privately for dinner.” Kudrow expressed, “I can only imagine. It is going to be fun. I mean, it will be really fun,” she said.
Buffay revealed that while talk of a reunion had been common since the show ended, it was not until it started streaming on Netflix that the star cast decided to weigh in on the possibility of them coming back together. “To be honest, I think when it moved to Netflix and it did so well on Netflix. That is why the show creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane are so great as they knew what they were doing.”
The cast of ‘Friends’ will resume filming by the end of the summer which was halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. The main cast including Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler), and David Schwimmer (Ross) was scheduled to record a special episode earlier in March, but the project was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Like other shows and movies during the global pandemic, the Friends special is adjusting its filming schedule. The project was initially slated to film on 23rd March but was delayed until at least May.
Now, it is likely filming will take place at the end of the summer as long as lockdown measures have been lifted in time.
