RAWALPINDI: Hospitals in Rawalpindi are reportedly adding patients suffering from other ailments to the list of COVID-19 cases, it has been revealed.
According to details, an elderly man named Muhammad Sharif, who had abdominal pain, was taken to Benazir Hospital Rawalpindi.
Muhammad Sharif’s nephew Abdullah informed that the lady doctor present in the emergency room rejected the previous hospital reports and declared him a coronavirus patient.
Muhammad Sharif’s nephew Abdullah said, “My uncle was forcibly shifted to coronavirus ward, and the doctors told me and other family members to leave.” He further informed that he received a call from the hospital on the next day that his uncle (Muhammad Sharif) has passed away. He also alleged that his uncle was tested negative for the coronavirus.
He said, “My uncle was not even shrouded and only four of the family members were called for the funeral prayers,” adding, “I appeal to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take stern action against the members include this fake drama.”
Earlier on May 9, it has been revealed that a prisoner, named Sanaullah, at Adiala Jail suffered a heart attack. The patient was rushed to PIMS hospital in Islamabad, however, he was allegedly added to the list of COVID-19 cases.
Sources have said that the dead body was shifted to PIMS Hospital, where the administration of the hospital refused to hand over the body to the relatives.
