RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi police are allegedly involved in taking bribes and fake actions against poor people in the city.
According to details, the Sadiqabad police station arrested a poor labourer and imprisoned him for almost 12 hours. He was released after accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
The labourer – Ibrahim Khan – made a video in this regard that gone viral on social media. After the video went viral, CPO Rawalpindi took action and ordered an inquiry.
Afterward, SHO Sadiqabad abducted the victim’s brother – Hakim Khan – last night who is still imprisoned. Poor laborer Ibrahim Khan said that a bribe of Rs 10,000 was received from me and now my brother is detained in the police station without any justification.
The victim appealed to CPO Rawalpindi, Chief Minister of Punjab Usman Buzdar, and Prime Minister Imran Khan for justice.
Earlier today (Thursday), Rawalpindi police allegedly backed the accused person involved in a rape case of a minor girl, according to sources.
According to details, the 12-year-old girl – Iqra Fatima – was gang-raped within the limits of Rawat police station, Rawalpindi. Sources have claimed that a PTI minister from Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is allegedly involved in the case.
