KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) failed to gain any stability on Wednesday and witnessed a downward trajectory over lack of triggers.
The benchmark KSE 100 index witnessed a decline by 264.57 points (-0.78 percent) and closed at 33.728.18 points. The bourse gained 114.3 points as trading resumed but gradually declined throughout the days losing the 34,000 points level. The total volume of shares was 150.581 million valued Rs 5.878 billion.
Meanwhile, the KSE 30 index also declined by 163.71 points (-1.09%) and closed at 14,844.17 points. The total value of shares was 67.855 million. The share prices of to active stock increase notably HASCOL (0.26%), UNITY (0.71%), TRG (4.16%), PIBTL (2.25%), ASTL (4.29%), KEL (0.35%) and ANL (7.38%). There was a decline in the share prices of MLCF (-1.68%) PAEL (-2.31%), and PIOC (-2.73%).
The stock market has struggled to gain stability during the ongoing week. Yesterday, the stock exchange rebounded over a rise in global crude prices and rally in regional equity markets. There is the anticipation of an easing of lockdown restrictions and that companies would resume operation from May 10.
