Samreen Junaid’s ‘Nabeinn’ has turned the ordinary everyday activity of cooking into an opportunity to make women more economically independent.

“We have thousands of chefs at the moment who work from home. Nabeinn has no restriction policy over age or gender,” says Samreen Junaid.

“Whoever is passionate about cooking can join us. Our registration is free of cost, we do not charge people who want to become a part of Nabeinn as chefs.”

“Some of our female chefs are physically impaired. We gave them our platform and helped them overcome the anxiety of being able to earn independently.”

Sara Shehryar, one of the disabled chefs, shares that she is passionate about cooking.  “I cooked for my family and later joined the platform as a chef. I turned my passion into an earning. I was so glad when customers gave me positive feedback” she tells me.

“The best part about Nabeinn is I am not bound to any restriction, time, or instruction. Its timing is from 11 am to 8 pm; now it depends on me when to start taking orders.”

The lock down due to coronavirus has forced people to sit at home. For those struggling to earn, the platform provided by Nabeinn eases their financial difficulties while providing food to those who are in dire need of basic, hygienic food.
