KARACHI: The confirmed infections of coronavirus in Pakistan have surged past 18,800 after several new cases were reported across the country.
According to the provided details from the provincial health departments, more than 700 cases were reported on Saturday across Pakistan.
In this regard, the total number of coronavirus cases has reached 18,806. So far, the deadly virus has claimed lives of almost 432 people.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has informed that almost 427 new cases were reported in the province taking the provincial tally to 7,102.
He added that almost 1,341 people have recovered from the virus while 54 were in a critical state with 18 on a ventilator.
Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has informed that almost 36 more cases were reported in the province, taking the tally of infected to 1,172.
The Gilgit-Baltistan health spokesperson informed that almost 16 new cases were reported in the region, taking the region’s tally to 340.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health minister Taimur Khan Jhagra has reported 11 more deaths in the province, taking the grim total to 172. Almost 108 new cases were also reported in the province.
Punjab Health Minister informed that almost 121 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the province taking the provincial tally to 6,854.
