KARACHI: Renowned tennis star Sania Mirza has said that world needs kindness people to donate for underprivileged people after India extended COVID-19 lockdown for two weeks.
On a social media website, Twitter she wrote: “For some of us it might be just two more weeks of lockdown but for a lot of the ppl this isn’t going to be ‘just two weeks.”
She further said “It means no food for 2 weeks and no means of earning it.” She urged people to spare a thought and donate whatever they can even if they have already donated. “The world needs kindness,” Sania added.

The Indian government has extended the world’s biggest COVID-19 lockdown by two weeks starting May 4, but with some easing of restrictions.
India’s Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday said in a statement “In view of significant gains in the coronavirus cases, areas with few or no cases would see considerable relaxations”.
According to reports, as many as 2,293 fresh coronavirus cases were reported in the country in the last 24 hours along with 71 deaths.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in India have crossed 37,336-mark with 1,218 deaths reported so far. Around 9,950 people have recovered until now.
