ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has inquired about Governor Sindh Imran Ismail’s health over a telephone call as he has been diagnosed with COVID-19.
The prime minister appreciated the governor’s resolve to fight coronavirus. “Do not be afraid, you have to fight the virus,” the prime minister was quoted as saying. Both the leaders discussed the situation of the country specially Sindh amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Governor Imran Ismail appreciated the prime minister for inquiring after his health and vowed to visit parts of Sindh after recovering his health. Ismail said that he will monitor the Ehsaas Programme in Sindh.
Earlier on Monday, Imran Ismail announced that he has been tested positive for the virus and said that he will fight it out. “Praying for Governor Imran Ismail’s speedy recovery from COVID19. May Allah grants him the strength to fight this,” said the prime minister in a statement on social media site Twitter.
