LAHORE: Pakistan’s test team skipper Azhar Ali has put up his cricket collectibles for auction in order to raise funds for deserving people amid coronavirus lockdown.
Azhar Ali took to Twitter today (Tuesday) and announced that he will be auctioning off a bat and a national jersey to raise funds for poor segments of society.
Commenting on the importance of the bat, he informed that it was from when he made a triple century during the day-night Test match against West Indies.

“While the jersey was part of the 2017 Champions Trophy which included the signatures of all the squad members,” the top-order batsman added.
In the video message on Twitter, Azhar Ali revealed that the base price for the two items was Rs1 million each.
Azhar Ali further said, “These two things were very close to my heart and I intended on keeping them with me but desperate times call for desperate measures.”
Pakistani fast bowler Rumman Raees also auctioned his debut ODI cap, which he received during the Champions Trophy, along with his jersey, cricket bat, and the two-starred Islamabad United shirt. The auction had managed to raise almost Rs1 million.
