KARACHI: The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan have surged past 11,000 after new cases were reported in several areas of the country.
According to the provided details from the provincial health departments, more than 500 cases were reported across the country. However, the national death toll rose to 232.
The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan reached 11,074. However, almost 2,337 people have recovered from the deadly disease.
Sindh today (Thursday) reported 298 cases of the virus, taking the provincial tally to 3,671.
In this regard, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah informed that 202 cases out of the 298 cases were detected in Karachi and 96 in other districts.
According to the region’s focal person on coronavirus, Dr. Mustafa Bashir, four more cases have been reported from Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Of the four patients, three are from Rawalkot and one from Palandri.
The health department of Gilgit-Baltistan has informed that 10 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the region, taking the region’s tally to 290.
Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has said that the province has seen a rise in cases by 55 today (Thursday), taking the total tally to 607.
According to the Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid, the province today (Thursday) reported 116 cases of the virus to take the provincial tally to 4,706.
According to the KP health department, 88 new coronavirus cases have been reported in the province, taking the provincial total to 1,541,
