PUNJAB: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar inspected field hospitals and centres set up for financial aid distribution under ‘Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme’ during his visits to Chistian and Sahiwal on Monday.
He said under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme cash has been distributed without any discrimination and any political influence, adding that relief amount is being given to poor people.
During his visit to Chistian, Usman Buzdar examined a cash distribution centre and reviewed the process. Locals and women present in the centre expressed satisfaction over the transparency of the program.
They also thanked the chief minister and PM Imran Khan for helping the poor people of society in difficult times.
Talking to media CM Buzdar said that District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Chistian will be improved by giving all possible resources.
He lauded the services of doctors and paramedics during the COVID-19 situation and pledged full support to them.
The CM further said that the Punjab government had announced a month’s additional pay for the medical staff at the forefront of the war against coronavirus pandemic.
He said that in case any government employee or doctor dies in the line of duty against COVID-19, the Punjab government will give them the package of martyrs.
During his visit to Sahiwal, Buzdar also announced to establish a cardiac hospital in the city. He said that testing laboratories will be set up in every district, besides revealing that Punjab has a capacity of conducting 3,200 tests in a day.
