NEW YORK: Singer Beyonce has paid tribute to the healthcare workers on the front battling against COVID-19 by dedicating her performance on one of her songs.
Beyonce during a recent performance in the Disney Family Singalong, performed the song ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ which she decided to dedicate to all the essential and health care workers involved in battling against the virus.
The 38-year-old singer said, “I would like to dedicate this song to all of the healthcare workers who have been working tirelessly to keep us healthy and safe. We greatly appreciate you,” she added.
She further said, “To all the families across the world, I am very proud and honored to be a part of the Disney family and to help present the Disney Songbook Singalong in partnership with Feeding America.”
“Please hold on to your families tight, please be safe, don’t give up hope. We’re going to get through this, I promise. God bless you,” the singer added.
Moreover, singer Drake had recently broken chart records in the US and has become the only male to score three number one debuts.
The ‘Toosie Slide’ entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number one. The song is the singer’s seventh total Hot 100 chart-topper. It joins ‘God’s Plan and Nice for What’, which both debuted at number one in 2018.
