KARACHI: The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan have surged to 6,300 after new cases were reported in several areas across the country on Thursday.
According to government data, until 12: 20 am today, the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan rose after new 151 new cases were reported during the past 24 hours.
According to the National Command and Control Centre, the death toll related to coronavirus has reached 117, while at least 1,500 patients have fully recovered across the country.
According to the national dashboard, the medical facilities have conducted 3,280 tests during last 24 hours while the total number of COVID-19 tests stands at 69,928.
The confirmed cases in Punjab stand at 3,016 making it the worst-hit province in the country with 28 deaths followed by Sindh, 1,668 (41 deaths), Kyber Pakhtunkhwa, 912 (42 deaths), Gilgit Baltistan, 237 (3 deaths), Balochistan 281 (2 death), Islamabad 140 (1 death) and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, 46.
Globally, Authorities have recorded more than 2 million cases and as many as 126,000 deaths since the COVID-19 emerged in China’s Wuhan city in 2019.
