KARACHI: Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister on Law Murtaza Wahab has confirmed that 150 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the province during the past 24 hours.
In a social media website Twitter, Wahab said that six more patients have died from COVID-19, taking the provincial tally to 41. He said the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sindh have reached 1688.

The total number of recovered patients in the province stands at 560 after 133 more recovered from the disease on Wednesday. Wahab said that Sindh health authorities have conducted overall 16,026 tests to date.
According to provincial health department officials, at least 311 members of the Tableeghi Jamaat have been discharged from hospitals in Hyderabad after recovering from the COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Hyderabad said some of the recovered patients have departed for their homes while others are in the process of leaving.
Meanwhile, the provincial government on Tuesday extended the ongoing lockdown till April 30 to limit the spread of COVID-19.
A notification issued by the Sindh government stated all the public places, educational institutions, public transport, shopping malls, and markets will remain closed during the lockdown.
The notification further stated medical stores grocery stores, general stores, petrol pumps, will remain close from 5: 00 pm to 8: 00 am during the lockdown period across the province.
Citizens have been asked to limit their movements from 5: 00 pm to 8: 00 am. Exceptions have been granted for law-enforcers, medics and paramedics, medical stores adjacent to healthcare facilities, goods transporters, people associated with charity outfits, on-duty journalists and technical staff.
Plumbers, carpenters, electricians can work on-call according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
