ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed has said that helping deserving people during coronavirus crisis was the topmost priority of the federal government.
In a statement issued today (Monday), Pakistan was lucky to have the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan as he always worked for the poor segment of society.
Faisal Javed said the federal government has initiated a massive cash assistance package for the deserving families amid coronavirus pandemic, adding that most of the people were daily wagers.
He said that in this lockdown, poor people were facing two hazards, the COVID-19, and poverty because they are unable to get any work during the lockdown period and they do not have any savings so that they can spend it now.
The PTI senator also urged that the affluent people should come forward and support the government through PM Corona Relief Fund in order to help the deserving people.“I would also request the overseas Pakistanis to participate in government’s efforts”, he added.
Commenting on the 18th Amendment, Faisal Javed said that after the18th Amendment, the provinces were autonomous, yet PM Imran established the central command and control unit in order to remain in contact with the provinces.
