KARACHI: Sindh Energy Minister Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh stated that the Sindh government has ordered the K-Electric not to disconnect consumers’ electricity over non-payment of bills.
Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh said that the citizens of Karachi receive inflated bills due to average billing. Energy Minister Sindh ordered the K Electric to immediately resolve the average billing issue.
He further said that due to the average billing there is a tension rising month people of Karachi. “Bills should be charged through proper metre reading,” he added.
Referring to the orders of the Chief Minister Sindh, Imtiaz Shaikh said that Murad Ali Shah had extended the due dates of all bills below Rs4,000 till 10th April 2020. “We will strictly follow the directions of the Chief Minister,” said Energy Minister Sindh, by adding that the Sindh government will not leave the people alone in any crises.
