KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has confirmed that 16 more patients have recovered from the coronavirus in Karachi on Tuesday.
Charing a meeting in Karachi today, the CM Murad said that as many as 309 patients have recovered from coronavirus so far. CM added that 54 new cases of COVID-19 were registered today, taking the provincial tally to 986.
As many 16 of the deceased were from the metropolis and two deaths were reported from Hyderabad. A total 662 people are under treatment in the different hospitals in the province, CM Murad added.
The chief minister further said that one more patient has died from the COVID-19 today, while overall 10219 coronavirus tests had been carried out in the province thus far. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan has risen to 4,004 on Tuesday after new cases were reported in the country.
According to government data, 4,004 coronavirus cases were registered in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 500, Balochistan 202, Gilgit-Baltistan 211, Islamabad 83 and Azad Kashmir 18.
As many as 55 people have died of COVID-19 since its outbreak in the country, which includes 18 in Sindh, 15 in Punjab, KP 17, Balochistan 01 and 03 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
