KARACHI: Citizens have been reportedly facing water shortage at their homes due to the lockdown imposed in the city. The officers of the Water and Sewerage Board are not paying any attention to the matter.
MD Water Board Asadullah Khan is also accused of not performing his duties well. MD Water Board has been involved in issuing statements through a video message that clearly violates the government’s orders as the Sindh government has already banned government officials to make statements on the media.
Citizens claimed that there is no water available in their area. They cannot get water just by staying at their homes. “People who are out on roads despite the lockdown are the ones who are in search of finding water,” they asserted.
The citizens have warned that if the Sindh government did not intervene to solve the problems of the supply of water and drainage issues, people will protest on the streets.
