GILGIT BALTISTAN: Gilgit Baltistan Governor Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon on Wednesday approved a summary to bestow civil award to Dr Usama Riaz who lost his life treating coronavirus patients in the region.
The information department of GB confirmed the news in a tweet.

The young physician, Dr Riaz from the Gilgit Baltistan, became the first Pakistani doctor to die after contracting the coronavirus during his duty in a quarantine center.
He was part of a 10-member team tasked with screening patients returning from downtowns, particularly those arriving there from Iran through Taftan border.
