SAWABI: Four members of a family, including a couple and their two children, were killed when the roof of a house collapsed due to heavy rain in Sawabi on Wednesday.
According to police sources, a roof of a house in Yar Hussain area collapsed due to heavy rain. As a result, four members of a family were killed.
Citing the details of deceased, police said a man, Raheem and his wife, Abida Parveen and their two one and half-year-old twin daughters died in the incident.
Police and local people pulled out the bodies from the debris of the collapsed house and shifted them to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that thunderstorms are likely expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The PMD predicted the rain in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Jhelum, Attock and Mianwali.
