LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar along with other officials paid a visit to the newly built field hospital in Expo Centre Lahore.
According to details, the Punjab government in his official twitter account said that the hospital with the capacity of 1,000 beds and it was built in nine days.
“Coronavirus patients will be admitted to the field hospital since it is located at a distance from residential areas,” it added.

During the visit CM Punjab was accompanied by Provincial Health Minister, Yasmin Rashid and Information Minister Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan.
The Punjab government has established a 1000-bedded field hospital in Expo Centre Lahore due to the emerging cases of coronavirus patients.
It stated that the hospital would also be used for emergency cases so that coronavirus suspected patients do not have to go to other hospitals.
The number of coronavirus cases has crossed over 600 in Punjab, forcing the government to arrange and provide necessary medical facilities to control the outbreak. The 1,000-bed field hospital will provide immediate medical care to patients affected by the virus.
A slight increase was witnessed in number of recovered patients as it stands at 58 while 10 people are said to be in critical condition in the province.
Punjab is the most affected province in Pakistan with 708 cases. The coronavirus deaths in Punjab stand at nine after two patient died in Rawalpindi and one in Mayo Hospital yesterday.
