Russian doctor – head of main coronavirus hospital – who met with President Vladimir Putin last week, has been tested positive for coronavirus.
Earlier last week, the Russian President visited the Kommunarka hospital where he held a conversation with Denis Protsenko. News footages show that both the personalities were not wearing protective gear.
In this regard, Kremlin spokesperson informed that the president took regular tests and there was no reason to worry about his health.
He said, “Everything is fine.” It has previously been said that Putin is being protected from viruses and other illnesses “around the clock”.
Russian doctor Protsenko took to Facebook and said: “Yes, I have tested positive for coronavirus, but I feel pretty good. I’ve isolated myself in my office. I think the immunity I’ve developed this month is doing its job.”
Earlier on Friday, the Kremlin also reported a coronavirus case in Putin’s administration but said the person in question had not come into contact with the president and that all measures were being taken to prevent the virus from spreading further.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian authorities have reported 500 new cases, taking the total tally to 2,337 cases and 17 fatalities.
