ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Athar Minallah has rejected the request of the judicial commission to determine the reasons for the spread of the coronavirus.
CJ Athar Minallah said that the country was facing major crises at the moment. There was a need for consensus and unity at the moment, he said.
CJ Athar Minallah rejected the application under the public interest. The petition requested an inquiry into the government’s mismanagement for opening the Taftan border for the visitors. The petition also called for an inquiry into the role of Zulfi Bukhari in this regard.
The court had sought reply by issuing cross-remarks on the previous hearing to Zulfi Bukhari. The petition for dismissal was also rejected by the applicant.
