ISLAMABAD: Another Chinese aircraft carrying medical supplies concerning Coronavirus pandemic arrived Islamabad on Sunday.
As per details, Chairman National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal received the medical gear from the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan at the Islamabad airport.
NDMA Chairman said that the authority has on track to distributing protective kits to all frontline medics working to control the spread of the coronavirus in the country. He said the protective kits are being provided to doctors, nurses, paramedics, management staff, janitorial staff and lab workers stand in the frontline against the pandemic.
Afzal further said by the next week all workers will all have protective gear, he added. He further added that a complaint cell has been established at the NDMA office Islamabad, adding that doctors can call and get more shielding apparatus, if needed.
Earlier, an eight-member medical team sent by the Chinese government has reached in Islamabad on Saturday to give expertise to control the coronavirus outbreak.
The doctors will remain in Pakistan for two weeks and will support Pakistani health care specialists in the light of their experience in battling Covid-19.

China’s aid to Pakistan so far includes 12,000 test kits, 10 thousand protective suits, 300,000 masks, and four million dollars to build an isolation hospital.
It may be noted that the 12 people have died due to Covid-19 in Pakistan and 1,526 infected due to the diseases and are under treatment in different hospitals across the country.
