KARACHI: In a bid to contain the outbreak of coronavirus, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has announced that there will be no congregational prayers in Sindh till April 5.
Murtaza Wahab took to Twitter and announced that the decision includes Friday prayers and will take place from March 27 till April 5.
Murtaza Wahab further said that the decision has been taken after consultation with ulemas of every school of thought and medical experts.

The spokesperson also said that only three to five people from the mosque staff will be able to pray inside mosque, while all other people will have to pray at home.
Earlier today, addressing a press conference Federal Religious Affairs Minister Noor-ul-Haq Qadri has said that the government has decided to restrain Friday congregational prayers amid coronavirus.
Noor Ul Haq Qadri further said that only mosques’ administration staff and a limited number of worshippers will be allowed to pray inside mosques.
Commenting on Hajj 2020, Noor-ul-Haq Qadari said that Saudi Arabia has urged Pakistan’s government not to take final decision on Hajj till green signal.
Coronavirus has claimed lives of nine people in Pakistan and has affected more than 1100 people. Sindh and Punjab are the worst affected province in the country.
