ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh will chair the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting today.
During the meeting, a five-point agenda will be discussed. The cabinet will gather a day after the monetary policy was announced.
During the meeting, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) will present a detailed summary of liabilities of up to Rs. 1.69 billion on import of LNG. The Ministry of Industry and Production will present a summary on the export of sugar.
Summaries on supplementary grants for the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will also be presented during the meeting.
Earlier on Monday, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh chaired a meeting at the Finance Division the strategy to achieve the targets with maximum success were discussed.
The participants of the meeting shared the details of the ongoing major initiatives of their respective Ministries and Divisions.
The meeting was attended by Ministers for Energy and Economic Affairs Division, Chairperson FBR and Secretaries of Finance Division, Ministry of National Food Security and Research and Ministry of Commerce attended the meeting.
