The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan have risen to 236 as more cases have been reported from other provinces of the country.
According to details, Sindh remained the worst affected province of Pakistan from coronavirus as 49 cases were reported today (Tuesday).
After these confirmed cases, this provincial tally has reached 172. The Sukkur cases have raised the fears that Pakistan’s quarantine efforts have been ineffective.
‘Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’
One new coronavirus case has been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, taking the provincial total to 16 since yesterday.
In this regard, Health Minister of KP Taimur Salim Jhagra has said that the virus was detected in a man in Abbottabad who came to the country from the UK.
‘Balochistan’
Another six new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Quetta, bringing the total number of cases in Balochistan to 16.
Spokesperson for the Balochistan government Liaquat Ali Shahwani has said that the affected individuals are under treatment at the Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
‘Punjab’
The total number of coronavirus patients in Punjab has risen to 26.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar said, “On the basis of test reports, of suspected patients, I can confirm that the number of confirmed patients is now 26.
He further said, “We are testing all the suspected patients and 736 Zaireen quarantined in DG Khan. 1,276 Zaireen coming from Taftan will also be quarantined.”
