KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh has informed that 11 more people in Sukkur have tested positive for the coronavirus, while one more case has been reported in Karachi, bringing the provincial tally to 88.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi today (Monday), CM Murad informed that out of 23 people 11 were tested positive and 12 were negative, adding that these people were among the pilgrims from Iran, who were being quarantined in Taftan and recently arrived in Sukkur.
In this regard, Spokesperson for the government Barrister Murtaza Wahab has confirmed that the new patients are now being kept in isolation.
CM Murad in his press conference said that a total of 393 tests for COVID-19 were carried out in Karachi. Out of these, 27 tested positive while two have made a full recovery.
‘Warning’
Murad Ali Shah has warned the people of Pakistan that the cases of coronavirus would be increased in coming days.
He also advised the people that there was no need to panic as the provincial government was taking action to contain the infection.
He lamented that after shutting down schools, people went to Sea View and that he could not close everything, people also have to play their role.
‘Not everyone diagnosed with coronavirus would be admitted to hospital’
Sindh Chief Minister further stated that not every person diagnosed with the novel coronavirus would be admitted to a hospital.
He also said that most people diagnosed with the virus would recover without having to be admitted to hospitals if they take appropriate precautions and rest.
‘Mask’
Murad Ali Shah has claimed that mask should be worn by people who have a cough, fever and are out in public.
CM Sindh also claimed that there was no need to wear mask when alone.
