KARACHI: Sindh Health Ministry has informed that five new cases have been confirmed in Karachi, bringing the national tally to 38.
According to media coordinator of provincial health ministry, three patients had recently traveled to Saudi Arabia, while another patient had no travel history.
The official further informed that it was being speculated that the virus was locally transmitted in the patient that has no recent travel history.
The fifth patient of the coronavirus arrived in Karachi from Quetta today.
After these four confirmed cases, the number of coronavirus cases in SIndh has been increased to 39.
The official claimed that out of 39 patients two have recovered and sent home while 37 are under treatment.
This brings the total number of cases in Pakistan to 53 in which 10 cases have emerged in Balochistan, 39 in Sindh, three in Gilgit Baltistan, four in Islamabad and one in Lahore.
Earlier today, another case of coronavirus was reported in Islamabad who was the husband of the woman who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
