ISLAMABAD: Another coronavirus case has been confirmed in Islamabad today (Sunday), bringing national tally to 34.
According to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), the newly confirmed patient was the husband of a woman who was confirmed to have the virus on Sunday.
The woman had a travel history and had returned to Pakistan from United States few days ago. She was in critical condition when brought to PIMS.
PIMS officials further said that both husband and wife have been kept in separate isolation wards and treatment was underway.
After the new case has emerged in Islamabad, this takes the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan to 34.
There are 17 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Sindh with two patients recovering and 15 under treatment.
Balochistan has reported 10 cases, while four cases have been reported in Islamabad and three in Gilgit-Baltistan.
