Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that the nation should not be scared nor spread panic over coronavirus pandemic.
Addressing a press conference today (Saturday), Sheikh Rasheed also announced that no railway activities would be suspended amid coronavirus fear.
Sheikh Rasheed said that while following the precautions required, we need to keep going about our lives.
Earlier today’s meeting of Pakistan Railways – chaired by Sheikh Rasheed – major decisions were made regarding coronavirus threats.
Pakistan Railways has informed that the Karachi railways division has set up a medical help desk which will remain functional around the clock.
Prevention sprays for coronavirus were already being spread in all trains before and after arrival at major stations.
Amid coronavirus fears, informative banners have been put up and pamphlets will be distributed among the passengers.
A separate ward has also been build to deal with possible coronavirus cases at Pakistan Railways Hassan Hospital in Karachi cantonment.
