KARACHI: The total number of new coronavirus cases in Pakistan has jumped to 30, with the latest cases reported in Karachi and Islamabad on Saturday.
Sindh health department in a twitter statement said that the coronavirus infected patient reached in Pakistan from Saudi Arab a few days back and was tested positive today.
This brings the total number of cases to 16 in Sindh out of which 2 have recovered and sent home and 14 are under treatment,” the statement added. Karachi has been the worst affected city so far.

While the other case reported in Islamabad. Officials of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) have confirmed the news and said that the patient was a 30-year-old woman.
The officials said that the patient had a travel history of the United States and has returned to Pakistan a few days ago. The patient’s condition was critical and has been placed on the ventilator, the officials said, adding that the patient was brought to PIMS from a private hospital.
Five cases have been reported in Gilgit-Baltistan and one case each in Hyderabad, Quetta, and Islamabad.
