GILGIT BALTISTAN: The funeral prayer of martyred Col Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was offered at the Army Helipad Ground in Bunji District Astore Gilgit Baltistan.
Force Commander Gilgit Baltistan Major General Ehsan Mehmood Khan, GB Governor Raja Jalal Maqpoon, Chief Minister Hafiz Hafizurrhman, top officials the government and a large number of local people were attained the funeral prayer.
On this occasion, praising the bravery of Col Mujeeb, GB Force Commander and the chief minister made it clear that the sacrifices made by the officers would not go astray.
Pakistan Army Officer Colonel (Col) Mujib Ur Rahman embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations, on confirmed intelligence report about the planning of terrorist activity, security forces conducted a targeted operation on terrorist Hideout near Tank, DI Khan.
As soon as troops cordoned the area, terrorists opened fire. During the operation, two terrorists (high-value targets) were killed. An intense shootout for some time, Colonel Mujeeb Ur Rehman embraced martyrdom during sanitization operation.
Col Mujeeb ur Rehman Shaheed belonged to Bunji, District Astore in Gilgit Baltistan. He is survived by a widow, three sons and a daughter. Colonel Mujib Ur Rahman is the latest addition in Pakistan Army’s illustrious list of martyrs who have laid their precious lives in the line of duty.
