ISLAMABAD: President Dr. Arif Alvi has said that collaborative efforts needed to deal with common challenges and threats.
Addressing a launching ceremony of Institute of Risk Management in Islamabad today (Tuesday), President Alvi pointed out that global warming, viruses, religious rivalries, and national conflicts are the major common threats to world community.
Commenting on global warming, President Alvi said that global warming was a huge risk for humanity, adding that the world should understand the risk factors of this threat.
Referring to the collapse of a building in Karachi, the President stressed the need for more secure structures.
President Alvi further said it was important to understand that good governance and effective risk management are not only essential and beneficial for the private sector but it is equally important for the public sector as well.
