ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted more rain with a thunderstorm in different parts of the country, including upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 12 hours.
Reports of blinking rains have been also received from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Rawalpindi and the Islamabad during the last 24 hours.
In lower Sindh, including Karachi dust elevating winds are also expected, said PMD report. According to PMD report, the temperature of some major cities of the country recorded this morning as:
Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan 9 degree centigrade, Muzaffarabad 4, Quetta and Lahore 12, Peshawar 11, Karachi 16 and Murree 02 degree centigrade.
A spokesperson of the Motorway police said Islamabad to Peshawar motorway section was closed to all sorts of traffic due to heavy downpour yesterday. The spokesman has instructed the people to avoid unnecessary journeys in night time during the rain.
