LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistani women while upholding their ideological character have struggled a lot during the last few decades and also made brilliant achievements in every sphere.
He expressed these views in a statement on International Women’s Day. He highlighted women advancement in every field of life during the last few decades in Pakistan.
The PML-N president also expressed hope that the government, civil society and women themselves would carry on to endeavor for ending gender discrimination from the society.
He said Islam has given women immense respect and rights. By keeping Paradise under the feet of her mother, Allaah has made clear the position and respect of women.
Shehbaz Sharif said woman’s education, good health and being economically empowered is a guarantee for the development and well-being of any society.
He said under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, PML-N has always taken effective steps to protect women’s rights in the country.
He said also hoped that in the coming years, Pakistani women will bring good names for the country across worldwide.
