ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan grieved and sorrow over the sad demise of prominent Pakistani comedian Amanullah Khan.
Expressing his condolences to the deceased’s family, the prime minister prayed for the departed soul and bereaved family. He further said Amanullah Khan was the greatest asset of Pakistan’s comedy and drama industry.
President Dr Arif Alvi has expressed grief over the demise of renowned comedian Amanullah. In a statement, the president said, “The services of late Amanullah in the field of comedy and acting would be remembered forever.”
The president prayed to Almighty Allah for peace of the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Renowned Pakistani comedian Amanullah Amanullah Khan passed away at the age of 70 after battling with the disease in Lahore on Friday.
He was admitted to a private hospital in Lahore. The comedian was also suffering from pneumonia, according to his family. Doctors had advised them to admit him to the hospital, she added.
He was regarded as one of the dominant comedians in the country. He had influenced many artists as well as the people of the country.
According to another famous comedian Sohail Ahmed, Amanullah Khan Khan had a world record of 860-day theater plays. Amanullah joined many popular TV channels in Pakistan and receive famed in the field of comedy.
He had a great sense of humor. His comedy acts were based on the regular habits and daily lives of the common people of society.
Amanullah Khan was also known to irregularly deliver unplanned dialogue. He was ahead of many well-known Indian comedians such as Kapil Sharma and Chandan Prabhakar.
His famous stage plays include Begum Dish Antenna, Disco Deewana, Khirki ke peechay, Muhabbat CNG, UPS, Shartiya Mithay, Bara maza aye ga and Ketchup. Khan was awarded the Pride of Performance Award in 2018.
