ISLAMABAD: Outgoing Ambassador of Egypt to Pakistan, Ahmed Mohamed Fadel Yacoub, called on President Dr. Arif Alvi in Islamabad today (Friday).
On the occasion, President Alvi congratulated the outgoing ambassador on his successful assignment in Pakistan.
President Alvi also appreciated the efforts of the outgoing ambassador for improving the bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt.
President Alvi said that Pakistan has great ties with Egypt and wanted to further enhance the relations in area of trade, culture and defence.
The President emphasized the need for frequent high-level interactions between the two sides.
Highlighting the Kashmir issue, President Alvi said that the government of Egypt should take a stance against the dire human rights violation in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.
He also expressed satisfaction over the current level of cooperation at various international forums like United Nations, Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and Developing-8 (D-8).
