The United States has confirmed its six deaths from novel coronavirus as the deadly virus took root in country’s Pacific Northwest.
A Heath officer for the Seattle and King Country Public Health agency, Dr.Jeff Duchin, announced the rise in fatalities from the previous two in Washington state.
The Health Officer claimed that at least four of six people died elderly at the age of 70s and 80s and had underlying health conditions.
The health officials urged the people of the US to calm down and don’t be panic as there was still time to limit the outbreak of the virus.
World Health Organisation Director has said, “I think we have a common enemy,” adding, “We all have to stand together in unison to fight against the virus.”
WHO officials declined to declare coronavirus a pandemic, saying 90% of the cases have been in China.
