ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has strongly condemned the act of forcibly ending the Aurat March.
In a tweet, Dr. Shireen Mazari wrote that women like other segments of society have a right to peacefully protest and demand their rights already enshrined in our constitution.

Mazari further wrote, ” Our government is committed to ensuring an end to discrimination against & harassment of women & has put in place programmes, policies and legislative measures to empower women & girls.”

Earlier, Mazari said that our women have made the nation proud on all fronts.
Her statement came after the United Nation’s tweet in which the UN had highlighted how Pakistani women were serving for peace in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In her tweet, Mazari wrote that women peacekeepers might help resolve many controversies confronting UN peacekeepers today.
