LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that ‘PTIMF budget’ would economically kill the lower-class of society.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore, Bilawal claimed that the economic affairs of the country were being driven through a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Bilawal Bhutto said that the people of Pakistan have now recognized these ruling people, adding that salaries and pensions were not being released.
He further criticized the government over the rising unemployment in the country, adding that the previous government of PPP has increased salaries and pensions in their tenure.
Commenting on NAB references, Bilawal Bhutto said that nowadays, political revenge was on rise while democratic struggle was everyone’s interest.
Bilawal Bhutto said, “Today, attacks on democracy are being launched from all sides,” adding, “nobody accepts the reason that Nawaz Sharif went to jail or abroad due to corruption.”
He said, “The government’s stance malfunctioned from the first day. Our leaders are in jail due to political revenge.”
While referring to former PPP minister Khurshid Shah’s brother, he said, “Not even a political opponent’s late brother was sparred.”
PPP chairman said, “After traders’ claim, Imran Khan also admitted that NAB and economy couldn’t run together, democratic forces are disunited for some reason.”
Commenting on Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed, the PPP’s chairman said, “Leave sewer’s talk in sewer, Sheikh Rasheed gets elected in a selected government, he will remain a selected minister.”
