KARACHI: Outgoing Inspector General of Sindh Police Syed Kaleem Imam on Monday met with a 12-member delegation of trade community in Karachi.
The trade community delegation thanked Dr Kaleem Imam for extending their support to traders during his tenure as IGP Sindh.
On this occasion, Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam said that during the tenure police had performed remarkable duties, adding that indiscriminate action has taken against criminals, terrorists, extremists and their facilitators.
He said that several hideouts of the criminals were destroyed in different operations in Sindh province. He said “I’m leaving the charge, however, the police department is working and will continue working with the trade community in the province”, he added.
He appreciated the hard work of traders for continuing business activities despite having threats from criminals. He also acknowledged the vital role of the trade community in supporting standing against criminal elements in the metropolis.
Kaleem Imam said the new IGP Sindh Mushtaq Ahmad Maher is a professional and talented officer. He hoped and said the business community will also happy with the new IGP.
