Pakistan has temporarily opened Taftan border with Iran today (Friday) to allow 250-300 Pakistanis to return in the country, Assistant Commissioner of Taftan Najibullah Qambrani confirmed.
The Assistant Commissioner of Taftan said in a statement that around 250-300 Pakistanis stuck in Iran are being allowed to return.
He said that Taftan border between Iran and Pakistan has been temporarily opened to allow for one-way traffic into the country, adding that the citizens were stuck in Iran and their visas were expiring.
Najibullah Qambrani further said that those entering in Pakistan were being screened, adding that the pilgrims would definitely be kept under quarantine.
Meanwhile, Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani took to Twitter and said that 350 Pakistanis on the Pak-Iran border have been allowed to enter the country.
Liaquat Shahwani said that all those who are arriving in Pakistan from Iran will be quarantined for 10 days.
Shahwani said that all pilgrims coming from Iran to Pakistan will be screened for the coronavirus.
