SUKKUR: At least 15 people dead and another 30 people were wounded as a train collided with a passenger bus at a railway crossing near Rohri railway station tonight (Friday).
According to details, police and rescue officials have reached the spot immediately and commenced relief operations.
The numbers of the dead people were confirmed by the police. The bodies of the dead people and the injured people have been shifted to the nearby hospital.
Rangers officials have also reached the site and started activities to pull out affectees from the passenger bus.
The train – Pakistan Express – was on its way to Lahore from Karachi when it collided with a passenger coach that split into two. The passenger train was going towards Karachi to Sargodha.
Chief Minister of Sindh has taken the notice of the incident and directed the concerned authorities to start the relief operation.
CM further directed the authorizers to declare an emergency at all hospitals in Khairpur and said that the injured people should get best medical treatment as possible.
