ISLAMABAD: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan has said that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is ready to defend the motherland and prepared to respond to any misadventure.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad today (Thursday) Air Chief Marshal said, “PAF will not compromise on sovereignty or territorial integrity of Pakistan.”
The ceremony was held at Air Headquarters to commemorate the first anniversary of Operation Swift Retort – when PAF shot down two Indian Air Force fighter planes and dropped bombs within the compound of Indian military facilities in annexed Kashmir.
Mujahid Anwar Khan said, “Our success is attributed to blessings of Allah,” adding, “Decades-long hard work, investment in PAF operational capacity resulted as PAF is and would remain reassuring fundamental of national defence.”
He said, “Prior to aggression last year, our national leadership had made it clear that any misadventure against Pakistan would be responded effectively.”
At the ceremony, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan inspected a guard of honour and a video was also played concerning the Kashmir conflict and the events which led up to February 27 2019.
