LAHORE: On the implementation of Pakistan Super League Code of Conduct for Players, Lahore Qalandars were fined for a slow over-rate during their one-wicket loss against Islamabad United at the Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
According to details, Qalandars during the fixed time were two overs short of their goal after taking into account time allowances.
The charges against the team were imposed by Ranmore Martinez and Rashid Riaz (both on-field umpires), Shozab Raza (third umpire), Nasir Hussain (fourth umpire), while match referee Mohammad Anees imposed the fines, based on the applicable sanctions for least over offenses.
The team players were fined 10 % each of their match fees as per Article 2.22 of the Pakistan Super League Code of Conduct for Players and Support officials, which handle the smallest amount over-rate offenses.
If the Lahore Qalandars are found the same parities second time as slow over-rate during the event, then each member of their playing team will be fined 20 % each of their match fees, according to rule.
